Rectal prolapse

Very low urgency

Protrusion of part of the intestine through the anal foramen, usually after defecating. When the anal area is palpated, a lump is felt that is made of rectal mucosa (end part of the bowel). It may bleed slightly and be uncomfortable or painful.
