Belief or set of beliefs that are lived with absolute conviction despite evidence to the contrary. It affects the person's reasoning, memory, thinking and behavior. Some examples are: Persecutory delusions, where the person has the conviction that someone is following them, paranoid delusions, where they think they are being spied on, delusions of grandeur, among others.
