Gradual alteration in the color and texture of the skin in the folds, especially in the armpits, nape of the neck, breasts and groin. Generally, these areas become darker, brownish to black, and the skin thickens and becomes rougher to the touch, including the formation of wrinkles and folds. It has a velvety appearance and can often appear dirty.
